My name is Julieth Kemilembe Justiniani, a Tanzanian marine engineer with a passion for learning, leadership, and technical excellence. I was born in 1990, and ever since I began my educational journey, I have always aimed to challenge myself and grow through every opportunity I’ve received.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering Technology from Dar es Salaam Maritime Institute, and a Diploma in Fisheries Science and Technology from Nyegezi Campus. These qualifications gave me both the academic grounding and practical skills necessary for my career in engineering and maritime operations.
Over the years, I have taken part in various specialized maritime courses, including Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Medical First Aid, Ship Security Officer Training, and Advanced Pilot Training conducted in Germany. These courses were not just certifications for me — they were chances to grow, improve, and align myself with international standards in the maritime sector.
Professionally, I’ve served as a Fisheries Officer, working closely with fishing communities to promote sustainable practices and environmental awareness. I’ve also worked as a Trainee Engineer at Tanica Coffee Industry, where I was involved in maintenance of boilers, pumps, and filters, as well as welding and mechanical operations.
One of the proudest moments in my journey was being recognized at the Tanzania Ports Authority for overseeing shipping movement control — an achievement that reminded me of how far I’ve come as a female professional in a technical field traditionally dominated by men.
I consider myself a hardworking, honest, and flexible individual, always ready to adapt to new environments and responsibilities. I enjoy solving problems, working both independently and as part of a team, and continuously finding ways to improve operations and contribute meaningfully.
This is not just a summary of my career it’s a reflection of my passion, discipline, and belief in making a positive impact wherever I go.
